Hello and Welcome!
I am Martha Bache-Wiig, Relationship Counselor, Existential Personalistic Anthropologist, and Anthropo-Astrologer.
In April I 2010 I celebrated 4 years of my "new life" back in my home town, Waukesha, WI, after having lived in Italy for 24 years. I love being back and it is truly exciting to be able to share some of the knowledge and experience I have gained throughout my own adventure of "Making my Life a Work of Art" with people here in the USA.
During my first years back in town I had the wonderful opportunity to work as a Domestic Violence Counselor at The Women's Center, Inc.. I decided to found my own company, the Center for the Development of the Person LLC, in September of 2009, and have been offering my services privately since then.
While living in Italy, I specialized in Existential Personalistic Anthropology, an approach developed since the 1970's by Prof. Antonio Mercurio at the Sophia University of Rome in Rome,Italy, and in its affiliated Institutes throughout Italy, in France and in Russia. I received my diploma in 1998 from the I.P.A.E. in Cosenza, Italy, where I studied under and was mentored by Dr.s Bruno Bonvecchi and Ombretta Ciapini. I obtained my Italian licensing as a psychologist in 2000, and my counseling license from the F.A.I.P. in 2002.
My Center for the Development of the Person LLC is the first affiliate of the Sophia University of Rome to open in the U.S.A.
I am also a teacher, a professional musician, a Certified Pranic Healer and an experienced Astrologer, and I integrate my profound understanding of the subtle energies that underlie all of Life in all my work with my clients.
I view my work with others as a way of being of service to Life and also as an essential part of my own journey of growth. I consider every person who shares their struggles and victories, their pain and their joy with me as a great gift. Our counseling relationship is a journey we undertake together, with the goal of acheiving ever greater wisdom, health, harmony and happiness.
Every individual who learns to become a Person (capable of freely loving him or herself, loving others and receiving love) and an Artist of Life adds greater Love, Freedom, Truth and Beauty to Life itself. It is a never-ending journey, but once an essential level of self-love has been obtained, it becomes ever more joyful and inspires joy in others.
I know this to be true through personal experience, and that is why my work with others has so much meaning for me.
